Audience Development via Digital Means
Mid June I will be in Amsterdam, participating in The Voice of Culture ‘Audience Development via Digital Means’ brainstorming session. This is a Structured Dialogue between the European Commission and the cultural sector. It aims to strengthen the advocacy of the cultural sector in policy debates at European level, while encouraging it to work in a more collaborative way.
I will be there representing Isis Arts and referring to the digital platform I am building for Corners.
When asked to give a quote on my thoughts about‘Audience Development via Digital Means’ I shared:
Real time connectivity and continuous digital media now has the potential to create a genuine sense of cultural mobility via online encounters with artists and artwork. Understanding how to achieve this whilst working with the evolving nature of digital media is one of the biggest challenges we face. By working together to create a cohesive methodology we can avoid ‘collective digital amnesia’ and constant platform reinvention to promote enriching digital audience engagement.
